About The Trainer

Sofia has been a rider since she was 7 years old where she grew up in Los Angeles. She started her competitive career in Show Jumping at 8 years old. Her training was provided by accomplished equestrians such as Corey Walkey, Jamie Mann, Susan Demers, Brian Flanigan and Mette Rosencrantz. She participated in clinics with more accomplished equestrian trainers like George Morris, Bernie Traurig, Will Simpson, Daniel Stewart and more. She has competed in multiple shows such as Twin Rivers, LAEC, Thermal, Paso Robles, Foxfield Derby, Camelot, Hansen Dam, etc.

Sofia strongly believes in the importance of keeping an open mind while expanding your knowledge in the equestrian world, and not limiting oneself to only one trainers opinions and techniques. She is constantly searching for new answers to better her horsemanship as well as those she works with. Workingg closely with Nathan Williams-Bonner of New Way Show Stables, her mission is to help as many horses and riders find the most successful and fun route to reach their goal mentally, physically and emotionally.
